Northern Institute of Technology Management

The Northern Institute of Technology Management (NITM) is a privately owned business school located in Hamburg, Germany. It was established in 1998 by 40 professors of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). At the time, it became a landmark achievement, being the first business school in Northern Germany. Hauke Triebs, one of the best scientists and then President of TUHH, was the founder and first president of the institute. In 2007, the institute expanded its identity by adding “Management” to its name.

NITM offers specialized Master’s degrees for talented and motivated students, primarily from Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. One of the distinctive features of these programs is the combination of education and internships, which enables students to develop both theoretical and practical skills. The faculty of NITM comprises scientists with extensive experience at renowned European, American, and Australian universities and companies.

NITM fosters a small, diverse community, accepting 30-40 students per year from more than 60 countries. Having an admission rate of around 44%, the institution is known for its competitiveness. Alongside the educational process, NITM also supports its alumni network, which numbers more than 650 people. The institute has a full-time Alumni & Community Manager who facilitates communication within this network.
